OST device abnormal data collection

When AR visual effects anomalies occur on OST devices, please promptly save screen recordings of the abnormal phenomena and report them to the EasyAR technical support team.

Screen recording

Limitations of the OST device screen recording function:

  1. Missing real-world footage: The OST device's screen recording function only captures the virtual content layer (GUI, 3D models, UI pointers, etc.).

  2. Loss of environmental background: When you play back this video on a computer or mobile phone, you will see virtual objects on a pure black background, completely losing the context of the real environment.

  3. Failure of virtual-real occlusion: If virtual objects should be occluded by real objects (such as your hand or a table), they will appear to float on the black screen in the recording, creating an incorrect layering effect.

Suggested solution: If you need to record AR anomalies involving environmental interactions, use a mobile phone or camera to film through the OST device's lenses.
