Scaling capacity and quotas

This chapter briefly explains common scaling items, applicable scenarios, and operational suggestions in Mega services, helping you choose appropriate scaling strategies and prepare necessary information based on business scale and project requirements.

Primarily includes:

  • Additional cloud localization databases
  • Binding extra mapping projects
  • Map capacity for a single cloud localization database
  • Mapping capability expansion: input video duration and multi-map fusion

Creating additional cloud localization databases

When a single cloud localization service group requires more than the default number of localization databases (standard 5, trial 1), you can apply for additional cloud localization databases.

This type of scaling currently relies mainly on manual approval. Please contact EasyAR consultants or sales to submit an application.

After approval, you can create and manage new localization databases in the management interface.

The creation and management interface is shown below

Binding more mapping projects

If you need to associate multiple mapping projects with the same service group (e.g., separate projects by floor or region but managed under one service group), you can apply to unlock more association quotas.

After unlocking, the management interface will display an available "+" button to add more projects. As shown below

Note

Operational tip: Provide a list of projects to be bound and a purpose description to facilitate permission evaluation and quota allocation.

Increasing map capacity for a single cloud localization database

A single cloud localization database has an upper limit on the number of Mega Blocks that can be added (example default limit: 4500).

If you need to exceed the default limit, contact business consultants and provide the following information to evaluate sufficient resource scaling.

  • Expected total number of Mega Block CCs (EasyAR's proprietary capacity measurement unit)
  • AppId of the target localization database
  • Usage period and concurrency volume of the target localization database

After unlocking, simply add maps directly to the cloud localization database. Exceeding capacity limits will trigger color alerts in the occupied capacity section, as shown in the box below.

Expanding mapping capabilities

A single mapping task has limits on input video length and segment count (example: max 16 segments × 8 minutes), and a single project may have default coverage area limits (example: 50,000 m²).

For complex or large-scale scenarios, it is generally recommended to:

  • Split the space into multiple mapping tasks by floor or region;
  • If merging multiple maps is needed, contact consultants to apply for multi-map fusion permissions and support.

This type of extended mapping tasks (such as multi-map fusion, large-area mapping) require approval and configuration through consultants or sales.
