Mega data acquisition
Data acquisition is the first step in building an EasyAR Mega spatial map and a crucial factor in determining the quality of the final Mega localization experience. Only by completing high-quality data acquisition can the subsequent mapping and localization processes proceed smoothly.
This module mainly introduces how to capture environmental video data using supported devices to provide high-quality raw materials for mapping.
The following shows the position of data acquisition in the entire Mega workflow:

Supported devices
EasyAR Mega provides flexible acquisition solutions to adapt to different-scale scene requirements:
- Mobile acquisition: For small spaces, objects, and other medium-to-small-scale scenes.
- Apple devices: iPhone11 and above
- Android devices: Devices supporting ARCore (excluding devices disabled by EasyAR), view supported device details
- Panoramic camera acquisition: For large spaces such as shopping mall atriums, streets, and squares. Panoramic cameras can capture 360° environmental information at once, with an acquisition efficiency 3-4 times that of mobile phones and fewer localization blind spots.
- Currently, only GoPro MAX 1st generation is supported
Data acquisition method selection
Use a panoramic camera or mobile phone to capture target data. You can choose the appropriate data acquisition process based on your application scenario.
