Mega data collection
Data collection is the first step in building an EasyAR Mega spatial map and a crucial factor determining the quality of the final Mega localization experience. Only by completing high-quality data collection can subsequent mapping and localization processes proceed smoothly.
This module primarily explains how to capture environmental video data using supported devices to provide high-quality raw materials for mapping.

Supported devices
EasyAR Mega offers flexible collection solutions to adapt to different scale scenarios:
- Mobile collection: For small-to-medium scale scenarios like compact spaces or objects.
- Apple devices: iPhone11 and above
- Android devices: ARCore-supported devices (excluding devices disabled by EasyAR), view supported device details
- Panoramic camera collection: For large-scale spaces like shopping mall atriums, streets, and plazas. Panoramic cameras capture 360° environmental information in one take, with 3-4 times higher efficiency than phones and fewer localization blind spots.
- Currently supports GoPro Max and GoPro Max2 panoramic cameras.
Data collection method selection
Use panoramic cameras or mobile devices to collect target data. Choose the appropriate data collection process based on your application scenario.
